Learn about eldercare options for Whatcom and Skagit County seniors

Are you overwhelmed by eldercare service options and confused about the costs of each? Are you trying to figure out how to help a loved one at home while maintaining balance in your own life?

If you can relate to either of the questions above, please register for one of our Elder Care Options: Help When You Need It workshops.

Debbie Gann, director of Home Attendant Care, will teach two ECO classes in February 2014—one at Skagit Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon and the other at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham.

Attendees will learn about a variety of services available to help seniors, whether they choose to stay in their own home or move to another setting. Medicare, Medicaid, and other funding options will also be covered.

Bring any questions you may have!  This class provides useful information for both seniors and their friends/family members.

Caring for aging parents

Attendees will learn about a variety of housing and care options, including home care.  The cost of each option, and the how to leverage Medicare, Medicaid, LTC insurance, and other funding options will also be discussed.

The class is suitable for seniors as well as loved ones who may help make elder care decisions in the future.
